Attend a Christmas play;

Give to someone in need (whether it is a toy, your time, or a meal); or

Sing Christmas carols for those who are in the hospital or a nursing home.

Of course, there is a more secular side to Christmas, as well. In the United States, Santa Claus is celebrated for delivering presents and making all the children squeal with delight on Christmas morning.

Decorations for Christmas include a Christmas tree, stockings, wreaths, lights, and other assortments to help bring merry cheer.

Some of the more non-religious Christmas traditions that can be incorporated include:

Putting out cookies for Santa Claus;

Decorating the Christmas tree together;

Putting gifts in stockings;

Baking cookies together;

Visiting Santa Claus at the shopping center;

Buying a new ornament for the tree every year;

Going on holiday light tours or attending Christmas parades;
