The Best Shoes for Your Leg Shape
Thicker legs will benefit from the same optical illusion of elongation. Don't interrupt the illusion with straps or mid-calf boots that can call attention to thick calves. Mules are great choices for drawing the attention downward as well. Tall girls should avoid long, pointy toes that simply keep that long line going - opt for those mid-calf styles and funky flats if you'd rather not add height. Heels are great on long-legged women - don't let height keep you from wearing them! If you have thick, muscular legs, then it's best to avoid calf-hugging boots that may look too tight (and feel that way, too!). Slouchy, soft suede boots can hide any bulges you might have. Opt for a tall heel or even wedges that will elevate and elongate legs. In fact, whatever kind of legs you have, a great shape for all of them is a stiletto - they'll always make you look taller and leaner.
