When the seasons change, nothing is more fun than getting out last year's styles, figuring out what needs replacing and finally - shoe shopping! But there's more to consider than a shoe's seasonality when you shop. Take a look at those gorgeous gams of yours before you buy. That's right - check out your leg shape and length, plus your overall body type. Certain shoes look better on certain people - and there are certain styles some should avoid. If you're petite and have short legs, for example, you'll make yourself look even tinier when you pair flats with a mid-calf or long skirt. When you cover your legs or partially cover them, you cut the long line you're trying to create, and if height is what you're trying to achieve, then flats obviously aren't going to do it. If you'd rather wear flats, then choose a pair of shorts or skirt that hits above the knee. Platforms, wedges and heels without straps will keep the line of vision going from your (bare) legs all the way down to the tops of your feet without anything breaking it up.
