What is helpful is bringing a photo of the cut you like. Then your hairdresser can adapt the look for your unique tresses. Simply telling her you want Julianne Moore red hair may end up with getting a color you didn't bargain for. And while giving a stylist carte blanche to "do whatever you want" may not end in a blue Mohawk, maybe it could! Being specific in your instructions will ensure that you get what you want. And if you don't, then let the stylist know...before you leave. If you find that you like it in the salon and change your mind after a shampoo or self-style, then again, let your stylist know. A good salon will fix it free of charge.
