Earth Day: Do Your Part

Teach your children how to care for the greenery. Why not take a hike? Visit a local park or doing something outdoors so that your children can truly appreciate all that nature has to offer. If you're not already recycling, start today. Also, stress the importance of conserving. Cut back on paper products, paper towels and other goods that are a source of waste. Encourage your children not to waste water. Take baths instead of showers. Turn off the faucets while brushing your teeth. Leave the car at home and take public transportation. Turn off lights when you're not in a room. The best rule of thumb is to teach your children not to waste. Become a role model for living green - the future of our environment is counting on it.
