The Food Fountain of Youth
Other foods that qualify as anti-aging "superfoods" include whole grains, nuts (walnuts in particular), water, dark chocolate and yogurt. On the other hand, refined sugars, flour, trans fats and starches can cause inflammation and accelerate aging. Sipping green tea offers myriad health benefits, but studies are showing that green tea polyphenols applied directly to the skin offer the best anti-aging properties. Non-food causes of aging include stress, excess UV light and hormones. Try relaxation techniques such as yoga or meditation to reduce stress, and wear sunblock to reduce those pesky wrinkles that add years to your face. Remember, you're only as old as you feel.
