Your Dough Brownies

Kids of all ages will go nuts over these brownies...and you will too! Moist and full of chocolate flavor, this delicious dessert will disappear as quickly as you can make them.


Your Dough Brownies

Ingredients

For 8 people

  • 3 ounce(s) unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/3 cup(s) shortening
  • 1 cup(s) sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup(s) flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 cup(s) walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

Directions

Melt the chocolate and shortening together. Add the sugar to the well-beaten eggs; combine the chocolate and egg mixture. Sift flour; measure; add baking powder, salt and sift again. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture; add nuts and vanilla. Spread the dough evenly in a greased 8x8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. When cool, cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
