It is possible to have too much of a good thing. While pretzels, nuts, granola bars, rice cakes and other snacks may be smart snacks, it's important to enjoy them in moderation. Even healthy foods can take a toll on your waistline. After all, those calories add up. A chocolate chip chewy granola bar may have just 120 calories and 4 grams of fat - but when you eat three of them, your snack turns into a high-calorie, high-fat feast. One ounce of pretzels will set you back around 100 calories. However, indulge in three servings, and once again, your snack has cost you a whopping 300 calories. Even the heart-healthy almonds come in at 163 calories and 14 grams of fat for just one ounce. But one cup of sliced almonds will tally up to an incredible 546 calories and almost 47 grams of fat. So much for a healthy snack!
