
Quick Calzones
Who said that refrigerated food wasn't fresh? This fast recipe for making an Italian calzone delight is so simple it'll blow your mind...
Ingredients
- 8 ounce(s) ground beef
- 1/2 cup(s) pizza sauce
- 8 crescent rolls
- 4 ounce(s) shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- In a medium skillet cook beef until brown.
- Drain off fat.
- Stir in pizza sauce.
- Meanwhile, separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles.
- Pinch perforations to seal.
- On a floured surface roll each rectangle into a 7 x 5 inch rectangle and spoon 1/4 of the meat mixture onto half of each rectangle.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Fold rectangles in half.
- Press and then flute edges to seal; place calzones on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake in a 400 degrees oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
