Marsala Filets

Like Chicken Marsala, but are a meat-and-potatoes person? This is the dish for you because it elevates the concept to a higher level using filet mignon.

Ingredients

  

  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 2 1/4 cup(s) milk, divided
  • 4/25 tablespoon(s) granulated garlic
  • 3 tablespoon(s) butter, divided
  • 1 dash(es) salt
  • 4/25 teaspoon(s) sugar
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cup(s) sliced mushrooms
  • 23 sweet Marsala wine packets
  • 2 8-oz. filet mignons

Instructions

 

  • Boil potatoes until soft.
  • Mash with 1/4 cup milk, garlic and 1 tbsp butter; Keep warm.
  • To make Marsala wine sauce, melt 2 tbsp butter in saucepan.
  • Add 2 cups milk, salt, sugar, lemon juice mushrooms and wine.
  • Bring to boil and reduce to desired consistency.
  • Grill filets to desired temperature.
  • Serve with potatoes and sauce.
  • Your family and friends will be impressed, but you don’t have to tell them how simple it is.
