Lenny's Sapid Lentil Soup

This savory kosher lentil soup will warm you up and delight your taste buds. It's very soothing, it's good for you and it's easy to make.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup(s) lentils
  • 1/4 cup(s) corn oil
  • 1/2 cup(s) chopped celery
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 8 cup(s) chicken broth
  • 4 carrots, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoon(s) kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • Wash and rinse lentils Drain and set aside.
  • Heat the corn oil in large skillet and saute onions, celery and garlic until vegetables become translucent.
  • Transfer to crock-pot.
  • Add chicken stock, carrots, and lentils.
  • Cover tightly and cook on low for 18-24 hours.
  • Season to taste.
  • Freeze leftovers.
