Decorative Candied Cranberries
Cranberries are great for more than just sauce and homemade garlands. This sweet treat is a great holiday dessert topper, or you can use these candied super fruits as decorations.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup(s) sugar
- 4 ounce(s) water
- 1/2 cup(s) cranberries
Instructions
- Prick each cranberry twice with needle.
- Boil the sugar in water until it spins a thread.
- Put in the cranberries and cook them gently until syrup jellies when tested from the tip of a spoon.
- Remove berries one at a time and place on wax paper.
- Let stand until dry.
- Dip the berries in granulated sugar.
- This recipe makes about 25.
- They are a festive decoration or garnish.
