Creamy Italian Crockpot Chicken
Make them believe you slaved over a hot stove all day! This recipe is zesty and tasty every time and no one will guess that the crockpot did all the work. Pour over your favorite pasta for a delicious meal.
Ingredients
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 8 ounce(s) bottle Italian salad dressing
- 1 343/1000 cup(s) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup(s) chicken broth or stock
- 8 ounce(s) package cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
- 1 dash(es) salt
- 1 dash(es) pepper
Instructions
- In a crock-pot, combine the chicken breasts and Italian dressing.
- Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
- Drain off the juices, and shred the chicken.
- In a bowl, mix the soup, broth/stock, cream cheese, basil, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Continue cooking on Low for another hour.
- If cutting fat and calories, consider using lower fat options for the cream cheese, salad dressing, or soup.
