Chutney Appetizer
Chutney is a staple in Indian cuisine. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a homemade chutney recipe that satisfies your hankering for Indian more than this one. One bite and you’ll be in more of a hurry for this gourmet curry flavor.
Ingredients
- 6 ounce(s) softened cream cheese
- 1 cup(s) sharp natural Cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 floz dry sherry
- 3/4 teaspoon(s) curry powder
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) red hot pepper sauce (Tabasco)
- 4 ounce(s) finely chopped mango chutney
- 3 green onions, sliced with part of the stem
- 1 pkg. of crackers
Instructions

Add in a blender cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, sherry, salt, curry powder and Tabasco and mix.

Spread in a disc on serving platter 1/2 inch thick or place in mold of your choice.

Chill 2 hours.

At serving time, spread the chutney on top.

Then sprinkle with green onion slices.

Surround with crackers.
