Angel Hair with Peas & Prosciutto

Ham it up with this awesome angel hair dish. It sounds like something off the menu of your favorite Italian hotspot; however, you’ll whip up a big bowl in your kitchen with ease. So good, yet so simple!

Ingredients

  

  • 12 ounce(s) angel hair pasta
  • 2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1 medium shallot, minced
  • 1 cup(s) cream
  • 1 cup(s) white wine
  • 1 cup(s) fresh green peas
  • 4 ounce(s) sliced prosciutto, cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup(s) grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, reserving a small amount of cooking water.
  • Return pasta to pot, tossing with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  • Melt butter in large, non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add shallot and cook until tender, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in cream and white wine.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Add peas and cook until tender,2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in prosciutto and Parmesan, cook for 1 minute.
  • Add pasta and toss to coat well.
  • Top with additional Parmesan if desired.
  • Ready in 30 min 10 min prep.
