Turkey in the Crust
Stuff yourself with this tempting turkey dish. With a crust made of stuffing, you can’t go wrong as you’ll be the best of both dishes — turkey and stuffing rolled into one.
Ingredients
- 6 cup(s) stuffing mix
- 16 floz water
- 1/2 cup(s) chopped onions
- 1/2 cup(s) chopped celery
- 3 tablespoon(s) butter
- 9/50 cup(s) flour
- 2 1/2 cup(s) evaporated milk
- 8 tablespoon(s) sliced stuffed green olives
- 24 ounce(s) cubed cooked turkey
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) thyme
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) poultry seasoning
Instructions

Combine stuffing mix with water, using only enough liquid to moisten.

Mix well.

Press into a buttered 12 x 8-inch baking dish.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

Saute onion and celery in butter; add flour.

Blend well, and then gradually stir in evaporated milk.

Stir over “low” heat until sauce thickens.

Add remaining ingredients; blend.

Place in stuffing crust.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Ready in 45 min.
