3-Hour Chicken Soup
Chicken is always worth the work; however, you won’t have to spend 3 hours next to the stove!
Ingredients
- 8 cup(s) chicken, stewing, meat only, cubed
- 14 cup(s) water
- 1 tablespoon(s) salt
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 parsley root
- 2 onions, raw, diced
- 3 parsley sprigs
- 3 dill sprigs
Instructions

Clean chicken thoroughly.

Combine in a deep saucepan with the water and onions.

Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 1 1/2 hours.

Add remaining ingredients.

Cover and cook over low heat 1 hour longer, or until chicken is tender.

Remove chicken and strain soup.

Ready in 3 hours.
