Italian Goulash
It looks like goulash, but it tastes like lasagna… without all of the guilt. This healthy meat and noodle medley is sure to satisfy without putting a dent in your diet efforts.
Ingredients
- 32 ounce(s) lean ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) black pepper
- 1/2 cup(s) bell peppers, chopped
- 8 ounce(s) whole wheat noodles, uncooked
- 1/2 cup(s) onions, chopped
- 8 floz water
- 3 1/4 cup(s) low-fat spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup(s) part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350.

Prepare a 13″x 9″ casserole dish with cooking spray; set aside.

In a large pot, cook chicken, bell peppers, and onions over medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink.

Add spaghetti sauce, salt, black pepper, macaroni, and water.

Cook until macaroni is done.

Place mixture into prepared dish.

Bake, covered, for 25 minutes.

Remove from the oven and top with cheese.

Return to the oven and bake, uncovered, for 15 more minutes, or until thoroughly heated and the cheese has melted.
