Crescent Date Sweet Treats

Ingredients

  

  • 3/4 cup(s) chopped dates
  • 1/4 cup(s) sugar
  • 2 floz water
  • 1/8 cup(s) chopped nuts
  • 8 reduced-fat crescent dinner rolls Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup(s) powdered sugar
  • 31/500 cup(s) milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

Instructions

 

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Grease cookie sheet.
  • In small saucepan, combine dates, sugar, water and nuts.
  • Cook over medium heat for 4 to 6 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Cool.
  • Separate dough into 4 rectangles.
  • Firmly press perforations to seal.
  • Place 2 rectangles on prepared cookie sheet; spread each with about 1/3 cup date mixture.
  • Place 2 remaining rectangles over date mixture; do not seal edges.
  • Cut each filled rectangle crosswise into 5 slices; do not separate.
  • Bake for 9 to 13 minutes or until golden.
