Crescent Date Sweet Treats
Feeling a little nutty? This different dessert will hit the spot. It's a tasty twist on your typical cinnamon-raisin bun. Great for breakfast or after dinner - give them a try!

- 3/4 cup(s) chopped dates
- 1/4 cup(s) sugar
- 2 floz water
- 1/8 cup(s) chopped nuts
- 8 reduced-fat crescent dinner rolls Glaze:
- 1/2 cup(s) powdered sugar
- 31/500 cup(s) milk
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Grease cookie sheet.
In small saucepan, combine dates, sugar, water and nuts.
Cook over medium heat for 4 to 6 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat.
Cool.
Separate dough into 4 rectangles.
Firmly press perforations to seal.
Place 2 rectangles on prepared cookie sheet; spread each with about 1/3 cup date mixture.
Place 2 remaining rectangles over date mixture; do not seal edges.
Cut each filled rectangle crosswise into 5 slices; do not separate.
Bake for 9 to 13 minutes or until golden.
