Bacon & Potatoes Chowder

Creamy and sweet, with a hint of saltiness, this quick and easy chowder is hearty enough to take the chill out of even the coldest day. You say "potatoes," we say chow down on this gourmet offering.

Bacon & Potatoes Chowder


For 6 people

  • 6 bacon slices, diced
  • 3/4 cup(s) celery, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup(s) diced potato
  • 1 cup(s) milk
  • 1 cup(s) water
  • 1 can cream style corn
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) black pepper


In saucepan, cook the bacon, celery and onion over medium heat until the bacon is cooked. Drain. Add the potato and water. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until the potato is tender. Stir in corn, milk and seasonings. Heat through but do not boil.
