Ingredients

  

  • 1/2 pound(s) elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) savory
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) white sugar
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 cup(s) canned tomatoes, drained
  • 1 dash(es) salt
  • 1 dash(es) pepper
  • 1/4 pound(s) mild cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup(s) milk

Instructions

 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cook macaroni according to package directions; when done, drain and place in a casserole dish.
  • In a large bowl, place the tomatoes then stir in the savory, sugar, salt, pepper, green onions and grated cheddar and stir well.
  • Pour tomato mixture over macaroni and stir to combine.
  • Lay slices of cheese over top of casserole.
  • Beat eggs with milk, then pour over casserole; do not stir.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  • ready in 1 hour 30 min prep.
