
Super Nut Trout
Sometimes you feel like a nut… and when you do, this super nut trout is just what the chef ordered. Crusted in macadamia pieces, there’s nothing average about this extraordinary fish dish.
Ingredients
- 4 trouts, cleaned
- 1/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 tablespoon(s) oil
- 1/2 cup(s) unroasted macadamia pieces (heaping cup)
- 2 tablespoon(s) freshly chopped parsley
- 2 lemons, juice
Instructions

Dredge the trout in the flour seasoned with the salt and pepper.

Shake off any excess flour.

Heat the butter and oil together in a frying pan and cook the trout for about 7 minutes, turning once or twice.

Remove to a warm platter and add the nuts to the pan.

Cook until lightly toasted.

Add the parsley and lemon juice, and cook a minute more, slightly reducing the liquid to a glaze.

Pour on top of the fish and serve immediately.
