Special Breakfast Casserole
Ready to be egged on? This traditional breakfast casserole just got elevated to the next level with the addition of sausage and shrooms. A medley of mouthwatering flavors, it is definitely all it is cracked up to be.
Ingredients
- 24 ounce(s) sausage
- 6 slices bread, cubed
- 1 1/2 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 2 cup(s) milk
- 1 teaspoon(s) dry mustard
- 1/2 cup(s) mushroom pieces, drained
- 1/4 cup(s) green bell pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup(s) green onion, diced
Instructions
- Crumble and fry the sausage, drain.
- Layer bread in bottom of 9 x 13 inch well-greased baking pan.
- Sprinkle sausage over bread.
- Add cheese.
- Beat eggs and mix with remaining ingredients.
- Pour slowly over cheese.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes and serve.
