
Sour Cream & Onion Steak
This baked steak is in a league of its own. Covered with sour cream, sauteed onion and mushroom sauce, it’s an inexpensive piece of meat with a rich taste. Get a whole lot more flavor for a whole lot less.
Ingredients
- 2 pound(s) round steak
- 4 tablespoon(s) melted butter
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) pepper
- 1/2 cup(s) diced onion
- 1/2 cup(s) diced mushrooms
- 1 cup(s) sour cream
- 4 tablespoon(s) flour, divided
Instructions

Pound 2 tbsp flour into steak with meat tenderizer or the edge of a heavy plate.

Sear steak in butter; add salt and pepper.

Saute onion and mushrooms.

Combine onion, mushrooms, sour cream and other 2 tbsp of flour.

Place steak in large casserole or skillet; cover with sour cream mixture.

Bake, covered, at 275 degrees for 2 hours.

Ready in 2 hours.
