Simple Cookies
In many cases, “simple” is the best. Stick to this recipe and you will appreciate how great a basic cookie recipe can be. “C” is for cookie, and that’s good enough for me.
Ingredients
- 1/4 pound(s) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup(s) sugars, granulated
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup(s) cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1 tablespoon(s) evaporated milk
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Cream together butter and sugar, beating well.

Stir in egg yolk and vanilla.

Mix together flour, baking powder and salt.

Gradually stir into other ingredients until combined.

Load into a cookie press.

Press cookies out onto an ungreased cookie sheet with 2 inches between each cookie to allow for spreading.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden around edges.

Ready in 30 min.
