Simple Chili Soup

Your basic chili dish just got a little bulkier with the addition of rice. If you're in the mood to go against the grain, call it macaroni in its place. You won't be disappointed.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounce(s) ground beef
  • 2 can red kidney beans
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 8 floz water
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon(s) chili powder
  • 1 dash(es) salt, to taste
  • 1 dash(es) pepper, to taste
  • 1/3 cup(s) rice

Instructions
 

  • In heavy skillet or pan, brown crumbled beef and onion.
  • Add beans and tomato soup.
  • Season with salt and pepper and chili powder; heat and serve.
  • Vegetables may be used, omitting the chili powder, 1/3-cup rice with more water added to make a vegetable soup.
  • Simmer for 30 - 60 minutes.
