Simple Chili Soup
Your basic chili dish just got a little bulkier with the addition of rice. If you're in the mood to go against the grain, call it macaroni in its place. You won't be disappointed.
Ingredients
- 16 ounce(s) ground beef
- 2 can red kidney beans
- 1 can tomato soup
- 8 floz water
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon(s) chili powder
- 1 dash(es) salt, to taste
- 1 dash(es) pepper, to taste
- 1/3 cup(s) rice
Instructions
- In heavy skillet or pan, brown crumbled beef and onion.
- Add beans and tomato soup.
- Season with salt and pepper and chili powder; heat and serve.
- Vegetables may be used, omitting the chili powder, 1/3-cup rice with more water added to make a vegetable soup.
- Simmer for 30 - 60 minutes.
