Sherry-Cherry Trifle

If cherries aren’t your thing, substitute blueberries, strawberries or any other fruit in its place. Regardless of which fruit you choose, this dessert is heavenly.

Ingredients

  

  • 1 cup(s) confectioners’ sugar
  • 3 ounce(s) cream cheese, softened
  • 16 tablespoon(s) nondairy whipped topping
  • 40 ounce(s) angel food cake, cubed (5 cups)
  • 1 floz sweet sherry
  • 2 31/50 cup(s) cherry pie filling (1-21-oz. can)

Instructions

 

  • In large bowl, beat sugar and cheese until fluffy.
  • Beat in whipped topping and add the sherry.
  • Fold in cake cubes.
  • Spoon into a glass round or square cake pan.
  • Spread pie filling over the top.
  • Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
