Seafood-less Salad

If the salad becomes too rich in mayo, add a large spoonful of sour cream and mix until desired taste is achieved.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup(s) sour cream (will not use whole container)
  • 30 tablespoon(s) jar mayonnaise (15 oz.)
  • 2 cup(s) imitation crabmeat, shredded, cut up or flaked (1-2 pkgs.)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 stalk of celery, cleaned and sliced very thin (optional)
  • 1 Old bay seasoning, to taste
  • 1 garlic powder, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place desired amount of onion and celery into a large mixing bowl.
  • Add crabmeat, and sprinkle in a little bit of garlic powder.
  • Lightly toss together.
  • Add mayonnaise, starting with roughly half the container, and one scoop of sour cream.
  • Mix.
  • Add more mayo and sour cream until desired creaminess is achieved.
  • Sprinkle Old Bay over the top of the mixture and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, if not overnight.
  • Mix well.
  • Taste for seasonings.
  • Add more Old Bay if needed also.
  • Serve cold.
