Sauteed Asparagus
These asparagus are boiled and then sauteed with butter and toasted almonds. Last but not least, a splash of lemon juice creates a mouth-watering aroma.
Ingredients
- 32 ounce(s) fresh asparagus
- 2 tablespoon(s) butter
- 1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
- 3/4 cup(s) slivered almonds, toasted
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
Instructions
- Select the ends of asparagus.
- Cook asparagus in boiling water to cover 3 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.
- Plunge asparagus into ice water to stop the cooking process and drain.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add asparagus, and saute 3 to 5 minutes.
- Toss asparagus with lemon juice and remaining ingredients.
- Ready in 15 min.
