Sauteed Asparagus

These asparagus are boiled and then sauteed with butter and toasted almonds. Last but not least, a splash of lemon juice creates a mouth-watering aroma.

Ingredients
  

  • 32 ounce(s) fresh asparagus
  • 2 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup(s) slivered almonds, toasted
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt

Instructions
 

  • Select the ends of asparagus.
  • Cook asparagus in boiling water to cover 3 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.
  • Plunge asparagus into ice water to stop the cooking process and drain.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add asparagus, and saute 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Toss asparagus with lemon juice and remaining ingredients.
  • Ready in 15 min.
