Sausage in Mini Quiches

What it lacks in size, it doesn't lack in taste. Sausage, Swiss cheese, chives, butter, half-and-half cream, and a pinch of cayenne are the perfect ingredients of these divine quiches.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup(s) butter, softened
  • 6 ounce(s) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cup(s) all-purpose flour
  • 6 ounce(s) bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 cup(s) shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon(s) minced chives
  • 2 eggs
  • 16 tablespoon(s) half-and-half cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, beat butter, cream cheese and flour until smooth.
  • Shape tablespoonfuls of dough into balls; press onto the bottom and up the sides of greased miniature muffin cups.
  • In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
  • Sprinkle sausage, Swiss cheese and chives into muffin cups.
  • In a bowl, beat eggs, cream, salt and pepper.
  • Pour into shells; bake at 375 degrees for 28-30 minutes or until browned and serve warmReady in 55 min.
