Roasted Almonds with Southwest Spices
A crunchy appetizer, fast to prepare and simple starter. Serve it with a glass of aperitive. Especially appropriate for a cocktail dinner party.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoon(s) olive oil
- 2 1/2 cup(s) almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) chili powder
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat, add the nuts, and saute until they are golden, giving a stir from time to time.
- When they're golden, remove them with a slotted spoon to a bowl, then toss with the cumin, chili powder and salt to taste.
- Spread on a baking sheet to dry.
- They will keep a couple of weeks in a sealed container.
- Preparation time 20 min.
