Roasted Almonds with Southwest Spices

A crunchy appetizer, fast to prepare and simple starter. Serve it with a glass of aperitive. Especially appropriate for a cocktail dinner party.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • 2 1/2 cup(s) almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) chili powder

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat, add the nuts, and saute until they are golden, giving a stir from time to time.
  • When they're golden, remove them with a slotted spoon to a bowl, then toss with the cumin, chili powder and salt to taste.
  • Spread on a baking sheet to dry.
  • They will keep a couple of weeks in a sealed container.
  • Preparation time 20 min.
