Papaya Sherbet

Papaya, orange, lemon, and liqueur make for one of the best sherbets. This is super easy to prepare and better than any store bought brand you can get your hands on. It’s papaya perfection!

Ingredients

  

  • 2 papayas
  • 1/2 cup(s) orange juice
  • 1/2 floz orange liqueur
  • 1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) fresh lemon juice

Instructions

 

  • Remove the seeds and skins from the papayas and dice them.
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix well until very smooth.
  • Pour into a refrigerator tray or shallow pan and freeze until sherbet has the consistency of mush.
  • Remove from freezer and stir vigorously.
  • Refreeze until mush again; repeat stirring.
  • Return to freezer until ready to serve.
