Orange & Lemon Tea

The end of summer and beginning of fall melt together in this refreshing tea. Enjoy the evenings on your front porch, sipping the citrus flavors of lemon and orange and smelling the fall aromas of cinnamon and clover. You will be hard pressed to find a more relaxing night.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup(s) tea leaves
  • 1 teaspoon(s) nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon(s) whole cloves
  • 1 quart of water
  • 3 oranges
  • 3 lemons
  • 3 cup(s) granulated sugar
  • 1 gallon(s) of water

Instructions
 

  • Cut a large square of cheesecloth.
  • Wrap tea and spices in cheesecloth; tie tightly with string.
  • Place in a large saucepan in 1 quart boiling water.
  • Boil 5 minutes and steep overnight.
  • Add sugar and juice of oranges and lemons.
  • Mix well, and then mix into a gallon of water.
