Mushroom Lentil Barley Stew

  • 8 cup(s) vegetable broth
  • 2 cup(s) sliced fresh button mushrooms
  • 1 ounce(s) dried shiitake mushrooms, torn into pieces
  • 3/4 cup(s) uncooked pearl barley
  • 3/4 cup(s) dry lentils
  • 1/4 cup(s) dried onion flakes
  • 2 teaspoon(s) minced garlic
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoon(s) dried summer savoury
  • 2 teaspoon(s) dried summer savoury
  • 1 teaspoon(s) dried basil
  • 2 teaspoon(s) ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt, to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a slow cooker, mix the broth, button mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, barley, lentils, onion flakes, garlic, savoury, bay leaves, basil, pepper, and salt.
  • Cover, and cook 4 to 6 hours on High or 10 to 12 hours on Low.
  • Remove bay leaves before serving.
