Low-Sugar Chocolate Cookies

These chocolate treats are full of super gooey deliciousness and missing a bunch of the sugar that usually goes along it. When you're in the market for a low-sugar cookie, this is it!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup(s) rolled oats (3 oz.)
  • 1/4 cup(s) desiccated coconut
  • 1/2 cup(s) whole meal self-raising flour
  • 4 tablespoon(s) cocoa powder
  • 4/25 floz bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 cup(s) butter
  • 4 floz water
  • 1/4 cup(s) currants
  • 1/4 cup(s) peanuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degree.
  • Lightly oil baking tray.
  • Combine rolled oats, coconut, the 2 flours, cocoa, sugar and bicarbonate of soda in a large mixing bowl.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan and add to the dry ingredients, then add the water and then the currants and peanuts and stir so all is well combined and mixed through.
  • Roll the mixture into balls the size of a 20-cent piece and place on the baking tray.
  • Bake in oven for 15 minutes.
  • Ready in 35 min.
