
Leek Stock
Vegetable stocks are a great way to introduce flavor to foods that would otherwise be cooked in water, such as rice, potatoes, pasta, and more. This homemade leek stock is a perfect example of a low-budget, flavorful stock that you can prep in bulk and keep on hand for a wide variety of dishes.
Ingredients
- 64 ounce(s) water
- 5 leeks, chopped
- 1 potato's peelings
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil.
- Add the potato peels and leeks and bring back to a boil.
- Season as desired and cover and let simmer for about 45 minutes.
- Ready in 50 min.
