Kicked-Up Meatloaf
Here's the beef -- in all its gourmet glory. Everyone will want to meat their maker when they sample a taste of this mouthwatering meatloaf. For good measure, we've added a hint of horseradish to kick the flavor up a notch. It provides the perfect bite. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound(s) ground beef
- 333/1000 cup(s) rolled oats, uncooked
- 1/4 onion, minced
- 1/2 cup(s) ketchup, divided
- 2 tablespoon(s) horseradish, divided
- 2 tablespoon(s) milk
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 2 teaspoon(s) mustard
- 1 teaspoon(s) parsley
- 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl combine ground beef with oats, onion, half the ketchup, tbsp horseradish, milk, eggs, salt and pepper.
- Shape into loaf.
- Place on a lightly greased rack in a roasting pan; bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
- Combine remaining ketchup and horseradish with brown sugar and mustard.
- Spoon mixture over meatloaf; bake another 15 minutes or until thermometer registers 160 degrees.
- Remove from oven; let rest a few minutes before slicing.
