Jasmine Rice with Coconut Sauce

Go coconuts for this jasmine rice. When you want to add a little soul to your starch, simply season it with a can of coconut milk. The results are a sweet experience.

  • 14 ounce(s) coconut milk
  • 1 1/4 cup(s) water
  • 1 teaspoon(s) sugar
  • 1 dash(es) salt
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) uncooked jasmine rice

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, water, sugar, and salt.
  • Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  • Stir in rice.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 18-20 minutes, until rice is tender.
  • Garnish with toasted coconut and chopped cilantro if you like.
  • Ready in 30 min.
