Ingredients
  

  • 8 cup(s) peanut oil
  • 3 cup(s) all purpose flour, sifted
  • 3 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 8 floz warm water

Instructions
 

  • Combine flour, baking powder in large mixing bowl, add warm water in small amounts and knead dough until soft but not sticky.
  • Cover bowl and let stand for about 15 minutes.
  • Pull of large egg-sized balls of dough and roll out into rounds about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Punch hole in center of each round, piercing several times with fork to allow dough to puff; in heavy skillet fry rounds in peanut oil until bubbles appear on dough.
  • Turn over and fry on the other side until golden brown.
  • Top with your favorite toppings.
  • Ready in 45 min.
