
Indian Bread

Ingredients
- 8 cup(s) peanut oil
- 3 cup(s) all purpose flour, sifted
- 3 teaspoon(s) baking powder
- 8 floz warm water
Instructions
- Combine flour, baking powder in large mixing bowl, add warm water in small amounts and knead dough until soft but not sticky.
- Cover bowl and let stand for about 15 minutes.
- Pull of large egg-sized balls of dough and roll out into rounds about 1/4 inch thick.
- Punch hole in center of each round, piercing several times with fork to allow dough to puff; in heavy skillet fry rounds in peanut oil until bubbles appear on dough.
- Turn over and fry on the other side until golden brown.
- Top with your favorite toppings.
- Ready in 45 min.
