Horseradish Sesame Tuna Salad

Forget about wasabi; good old American horseradish makes this tuna salad every bit as lively. It may be a slight deviation from the norm. However, you’ll still be singing this tuna.

Ingredients

  

  • 1 tablespoon(s) horseradish
  • 8 tablespoon(s) sour cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) chives
  • 1/4 cup(s) soy sauce
  • 1/8 cup(s) sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • 1 6-oz. tuna filet
  • 1 mixed greens serving

Instructions

 

  • For horseradish cream sauce, mix first three ingredients.
  • Marinate tuna in soy sauce at least 2 hours covered in refrigerator in nonreactive pan.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds until well covered.
  • Sear in olive oil over high head on both sides, about 3 minutes.
  • Place tuna over mixed greens.
  • Serve with horseradish cream sauce.
  • Did you know most “wasabi” sold in the U.
  • isn’t really wasabi? Much of it is actually horseradish that’s tinted green.
