Greek Butter Cookies

Butter up! These cookies are sure to be a hit with your loved ones. Also known as Koriabiedes, they're a traditional Greek favorite that doesn't disappoint. Bake up a batch tonight.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound(s) sweet butter, softened to room temperature
  • 3/4 cup(s) powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 2 teaspoon(s) brandy
  • 4 1/2 cup(s) flour
  • 1 cup(s) blanched almonds or walnuts; finely chopped
  • 1 Additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Whip butter until light and fluffy.
  • Slowly add powdered sugar, vanilla and brandy.
  • Gradually add flour, 1 cup at a time.
  • Fold in nuts.
  • Shape tbs of dough into balls or crescents.
  • Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 20 minutes.
  • Do not brown.
  • Sift additional powdered sugar onto cookies, or roll cookies in sifted powdered sugar, while warm.
  • Ready in 40 min.
