Ingredients
- 8 ounce(s) flat iron steak
- 1/2 small onion, rough chop
- 1 tablespoon(s) cognac
- 2 tablespoon(s) beef base
- 1 teaspoon(s) butter
- 1 dash(es) salt
- 1 dash(es) pepper
Instructions
- Season steak with salt and pepper.
- Grill to preferred doneness.
- For the sauce, saute chopped onions until translucent.
- Deglaze with cognac.
- Add beef base; reduce by 1/3.
- Add butter.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Ladle sauce on plate; top with steak.
