
Easy Chinese Steak
You've worked all day, and you'd love an edible pay off that won't take an eternity to prepare. This quick and easy pepper steak makes the cut. A gourmet dinner in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 16 ounce(s) 1/2-inch thick round steak
- 2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
- 3/5 ounce(s) (1 envelope) au jus gravy mix
- 6 floz water
- 4 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
- 24 ounce(s) cooked rice
Instructions
- Cut the meat in half lengthwise with a sharp knife (meat will slice better if slightly frozen), then crosswise into thin slices.
- Saute the meat, onions and pepper in hot oil in a skillet until the meat is brown.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients, except the rice.
- Cook for five minutes, stirring constantly.
- Serve over rice.
- Ready in 15 min.
