Classic Plantains
Never underestimate the appeal of a simple side dish. These fried plantains will disappear quickly - you may want to double the recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
- 2 medium plantains, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch diagonal slices (about 2 cups)
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) ground red pepper
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Add the plantain slices; cook 3 minutes on each side or until browned.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over chips.
- Ready in 20 min.
