Cheesy Meatloaf

There's nothing wrong with loafing around, especially when it comes to this cheesy dinner. This isn't your mom's meatloaf recipe - dry onion soup mix and shredded mozzarella make it rich and flavorful.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounce(s) ground beef
  • 16 ounce(s) ground pork
  • 1 1.25-ounce envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 ground black pepper, to taste
  • 6 ounce(s) water
  • 2 cup(s) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl combine the beef, pork, soup mix, eggs, breadcrumbs, pepper and water.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of the cheese.
  • Mix well and spread half of mixture into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Spread remaining 1 1/2 cup cheese over meat loaf mixture.
  • Top with remaining half of meat loaf mixture.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes.
  • Let cool 10-15 minutes before serving.
  • Ready in 1 hour.
