
Barbecued Shrimp and Grits
Here’s a tail of two great Southern staples. Nothing like some gourmet shrimp and grits to get you going. All the Southern flavors rolled into one great dish.
Ingredients
- 4 large shrimp
 - 2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
 - 1/2 lemon – juiced
 - 2 tablespoon(s) butter
 - 1 pinch(es) salt and pepper to taste
 - 1/2 cup(s) stone ground grits, cooked
 - 1 tablespoon(s) barbecue sauce
 - 2 ounce(s) shredded cheddar cheese
 - 2 ounce(s) shredded jack cheese
 - 2 ounce(s) cooked chopped bacon
 
Instructions
- 
Saute large shrimp in olive oil, lemon juice and butter.
 - 
Salt and pepper to taste.
 - 
Pour grits on plate or in martini glass and add shrimp.
 - 
Top with barbecue sauce, cheeses and bacon.
