Baked Apple in Sauce

This awesome apple treat is hard to beat. When you’re in search of a diabetes-friendly recipe, this is sure to be the apple of your eye. It’s good to the core and will fit in with your healthy eating regimen.

Ingredients

  

  • 5 cup(s) sugar-free Comstock apples, pre-sliced
  • 3/4 cup(s) butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup(s) all natural maple flavor sugar free syrup
  • 3/4 cup(s) flour
  • 1/2 cup(s) oats

Instructions

 

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  • To apples, add lemon juice, Sweet ‘N Low, syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Blend well.
  • Put into prepared baking dish.
  • In separate bowl, add oats and flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and Sweet ‘N Low.
  • Add softened butter and blend until dry ingredients and butter become crumbly and well mixed.
  • Pour over the apples.
  • If more topping is desired, increase ingredients.
  • Bake for 45 minutes.
  • Ready in 1 hour.
