Austin Chili
Yea-Haw! Keep your saddle oiled cause this delicious dish will have you galloping for seconds. This Texas-style chili features lean steak, pinto beans and cayenne pepper. It'll have your mouth salivating. Don't mess with Texas!
Ingredients
- 16 ounce(s) lean top round steak, cut into thin strips
- 1 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
- 2 cans pinto beans
- 14 1/2 ounce(s) diced tomatoes
- 12 tablespoon(s) tomato paste
- 4 ounce(s) water
- 1/2 cup(s) chopped onion
- 2 33/50 ounce(s) chopped green bell peppers
- 1/3 cup(s) chopped sweet red pepper
- 1 tablespoon(s) chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
Instructions
- In a large pan, cook meat in oil until browned on all sides; drain.
- Add remaining ingredients; stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and cook for 30 to 40 minutes or until meat is tender.
- Ready in 50 min.
