
Greek Butter Cookies
Butter up! These cookies are sure to be a hit with your loved ones. Also known as Koriabiedes, they’re a traditional Greek favorite that doesn’t disappoint. Bake up a batch tonight.
Ingredients
- 1 pound(s) sweet butter, softened to room temperature
- 3/4 cup(s) powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
- 2 teaspoon(s) brandy
- 4 1/2 cup(s) flour
- 1 cup(s) blanched almonds or walnuts; finely chopped
- 1 Additional powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Whip butter until light and fluffy.

Slowly add powdered sugar, vanilla and brandy.

Gradually add flour, 1 cup at a time.

Fold in nuts.

Shape tbs of dough into balls or crescents.

Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 20 minutes.

Do not brown.

Sift additional powdered sugar onto cookies, or roll cookies in sifted powdered sugar, while warm.
